RISE is the triumphant story of Siya Kolisi, international sporting sensation and the first Black captain of South Africa's National Rugby Team. From his humble beginnings growing up in abject poverty, we follow Siya's journey as he overcame the odds and grew into his strength as a player and man, building a family and leading his team to a Rugby World Cup Title in 2019. Told from his unique point of view as a Black athlete growing up in a South African nation still grappling with the legacy of apartheid, Siya's journey has inspired his country and the world with a sense of joy, purpose, and hope. Once again the Springboks have won the 2023 World Cup Final and Siya's legacy as a transformative leader continues to grow and inspire.
